Mississauga Civic Square Furniture, 2012
300 City Center Drive, Mississauga; Industrial
In association with CS&P Architects Inc, a set of urban furniture can enrich the vibrancy of the square. Beginning with the gate, which serves as a function to remove traffic and a symbol that establishes a threshold. Within the square, a monument resembles flickering candles to which it commemorates the fallen heroes of Canada. Finally, on the edge of the square is a steel trellis structure that provides shades for the arcade during events such as rib-fest and Canada’s Day in Mississauga.
